The Cellar of Pawleys Island

The Cellar of Pawleys Island is a thoughtfully curated wine experience housed in a historic 1850 schoolhouse. Visit The Cellar at The Hammock Shops Village and discover your next favorite bottle in the heart of Pawleys Island.

Founded by Pawleys Island locals Benjamin and Kathleen Jordan, The Cellar is housed in a restored schoolhouse built in 1850 at Waverly Plantation—once the only school on Pawleys Island. Today, the historic building is a place where history, hospitality, and community come together over great wine.

Browse a curated collection of small-estate wines from family-owned producers alongside trusted, established labels—every bottle selected for craftsmanship, character, and quality. Then settle in at the bar or upstairs loft with a charcuterie board and a glass of something new.

More than a wine shop, The Cellar hosts tastings, special events, and Club 1850—a monthly wine club with curated selections and member-only perks.

Stop by Tuesday through Saturday, 12–8 PM, and raise a glass to the Lowcountry.
